Parchment (parchment.sayfandco.com) is operated by Sayf & Co., Islamabad, Pakistan (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you read or write on Parchment and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, username, email address and password (stored encrypted) when you create an account.
- Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google. We never receive your Google password.
- Profile information: anything you add to your profile, such as a photo, bio or website.
- Your content: stories, comments and likes you publish.
- Contact messages: what you send us through the contact form or by email.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and basic usage data, collected through server logs and cookies.
How we use it
- To run your account, publish your stories and show your public profile.
- To review submissions and keep the platform safe from spam and abuse.
- To send account emails such as welcome messages, password resets and publishing updates.
- To answer your messages and improve Parchment.
What is public
Your display name, profile photo, bio and published stories and comments are visible to everyone. Your email address and password are never shown publicly.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Our hosting provider may use cookies for performance and security.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Parchment (such as our web host and email provider), with Google when you choose Google sign-in, or when the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your information while your account is active. You can edit your profile from My account at any time, or ask us to delete your account and personal data by emailing parchment@sayfandco.com.
Children
Parchment is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
